WHEN IT COMES TO INTERIORS

WE BELIEVE

The best interiors feel timeless, are carefully constructed allowing optimal functioning, and are sustainably designed.

When designing interiors, The Peaceful Dwelling seeks to restore form and function utilizing timeless design and modern aesthetics, while also taking into consideration the client's needs, the personality of the space, it's surroundings, and any previous story related to the space.

WHEN IT COMES TO INTERIORS

WE VALUE

2

TIMELESSNESS

Designs and finishes are chosen for their ability to stand the test of time, remain beautiful, and grow better with age. Emphasis is placed on simple, raw beauty and texture.

3

FUNCTIONALITY

Spaces are intentionally tailored to serve their purpose, with daily use, traffic, and accessibility in mind. Organization is of utmost importance.

Peaceful Dwelling Values-Sustainability

SUSTAINABILITY

When possible, working with makers and brands that offer transparency in terms of sourcing, human rights, and impact on the climate.

Courtneay Zeek

Interior designer & Founder

Courtneay Zeek is an interior designer and founder of The PD Studio, working with homeowners shaping layered, high-consideration properties, including equestrian estates, multi-structure sites, custom builds, and heritage homes with long architectural histories.

Her practice is grounded in both formal design education and developing professional experience through studio work and client-facing projects. This combination has shaped a design approach that is equal parts technical and intuitive, focused on how spaces actually live, not just how they present.

Her work is especially aligned with clients managing complex households or multi-property environments, where design decisions must account for flow, function, and long-term stewardship across interconnected spaces. She approaches each project with a client-centric process, prioritizing clarity, discretion, and a deep understanding of how daily life unfolds within the architecture.

Rather than treating interiors as isolated rooms, she designs them as systems, where movement, materiality, and mood work together across the full property experience.

Sustainability is embedded through restraint and longevity rather than trend. She favors the integration of existing heirlooms and antique pieces, allowing new design work to feel as though it belongs to something already established, rather than imposed upon it.

The result is interiors that feel considered, enduring, and quietly refined, built for clients who expect their homes to function as beautifully as they present.
